Abstract: The dependence of the electric field in the plane of motion of a nylon string on the string velocity is experimentally studied. The shape and number of the charges that accompany the motion of solid bodies, which have various geometric parameters, in air up to transonic velocities are determined. The formation and shape of electric charges of different signs in an initially neutral dielectric rod are investigated during the motion of a deformation pulse of the same sign along the rod.
