Abstract:
The relation between the energy density of the plastic deformation of 08Kh18N10T steel and the Poisson ratio is studied during cyclic loading. The precipitation of martensite during loading is found to lead to a substantial increase in the energy density of the plastic deformation of the soft phase (austenite) and to a change in the Poisson ratio of the entire material. It is shown that the Poisson ratio can be used as a diagnostic parameter of the state of austenite steel, which undergoes phase transformations during cyclic deformation.
