Evaluation of the thresholds of stimulated nonlinear scattered CW laser radiation in high-power fiber amplifiers

Abstract: The paper describes a new approach for determining the threshold for stimulated nonlinear scattering in active and passive optical fibers. It is proposed to fix the power of the Stokes component at a certain level, which will make it possible to determine the threshold values of laser radiation powers, which characterize the manifestation of stimulated nonlinear scattering at the expected power level, in a convenient way from the applied point of view. Verification of the obtained expressions is given.
