Coherent transition radiation of a hollow Bessel beam

Abstract: The transition radiation from a relativistic electron Bessel beam has been theoretically investigated. The form factor determining the possibility of realizing intense coherent radiation from a Bessel beam has been calculated. The results for the hollow Bessel and Gaussian beams are compared. A target in the form of a two-dimensional planar photonic crystal is considered to analyze the transition radiation characteristics.
