Method of angular invariants: experiment

Abstract: A method for the precise measurement and an algorithm for the calculation of the refractive index of transparent optical materials have been proposed excluding the interaction length of probe radiation with a sample from observables. The angular invariants of the reflection/transmission coefficient have been experimentally determined for the first time. The method has been implemented in practice with plane parallel sapphire plates.
