Magnetic skyrmions and phase transitions in antiferromagnetic/ferroelectric bilayers

Abstract: We study in this paper the ground state and the properties of a skyrmions in magnetoelectric films, namely antiferromagnetic/ferroelectric superlattices in a support by steepest descent method and extensive Monte Carlo simulation. The ground state and ordering of the frustrated both classical Heisenberg and Ising models on the simple cubic lattice with a magnetoelectric coupling are studied under magnetic field.
