On the theory of the electric polarization in FeÑr$_2$O$_4$ ferrimagnet

Abstract: The mechanism of the linear electric polarization in FeÑr$_2$O$_4$ ferrimagnet is suggested. The polarization is induced by the odd crystal field acting on 3d electrons of Fe$^{2+}$, as well as by the spin-orbit interaction, exchange field, and orbital ordering. The calculated polarization is directed along the $c$ axis of the crystal.
