Abstract: Left-right asymmetry of the angular distribution of prompt neutrons from $^{235}$U fission induced by polarized thermal neutrons was measured. This asymmetry is caused by the interference of the $s$ and $p$ waves in the input reaction channel and was found to be equal to $b=(-5.8\pm1.4)\cdot10^{-5}$
