Fiber-optic synthesizer of controlled sequences of ultrashort light pulses for single-beam coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microspectroscopy

Abstract: A photonic-crystal fiber operated in the regime of modulation instability is shown to simultaneously enable efficient spectral transformation and pulse shaping of laser fields, synthesizing optimal field waveforms for single-beam coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering and coherence-controlled excitation of molecular systems.
