On a beam splitter attack and soft filtering of coherent states in differential phase shift quantum cryptography

Abstract: A combined attack on a quantum key distribution protocol with differential phase shift encoding has been proposed. The length of a communication channel to which secure key distribution is guaranteed has been estimated.
