Abstract: Method of emission spectral analysis was used to determine the content of nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V) in the water of the rivers. Some of the practical and theoretical aspects of heavy metal toxicity, the different aspects of participation biometals (nickel, molybdenum, vanadium) in the formation of primary production streams were explored. The article presents a comparative analysis of nickel, molybdenum, and vanadium content in the main rivers of the Central Caucasus and in the district of river Don and its tributaries.

Keywords: biosphere pollutants, heavy metals, arid zone, environmental monitoring, preparation of samples.
