Assessment of condition of soil cover in the territory of Vladikavkaz city

Abstract: Urban soils are being polluted with heavy metals. The content of heavy metals in the soils and vegetation increases from the periphery toward the source of pollution. In Vladikavkaz city soil pollution with heavy metals takes place due to the industrial enterprises and the growing number of vehicles. Pollution of soils with heavy metals adversely affects the health of urban population.
