The analysis of landslide activity in the basin of the river of Cherek (Kabardino-Balkar republic)

Abstract: In the article the questions of areal assessment of the impact of landslide processes on business objects (areal and linear) in the Cherek river basin, right tributary of Baksan river, over a 25-year period (1990-2016.) are studied. At the same time in the 3 pools of formation of hazardous nature processes (HNP) main landslide areas (left and right sides of the rivers) and areal and linear business objects in the area of the landslides are established. The results of the inventory were the revised data for a number of landslide slopes, as well as identified new anthropogenic landslide massifs, formed mostly when trimming the mountain slopes by a road.
