Abstract: Yuri Pavlovich was born on October 3, 1942 in the city of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Krai, into a military family. In 1959, he graduated from high school in the city of Saratov with a gold medal and enrolled in the Physics Department of Saratov State University.
