Abstract:
The proposed method of comparative analysis of texts is part of the information and analytical system created by the authors, based on the expert-metric approach, applicable to the analysis of texts of various styles and genres in their reverse translation. The method is based on the automatic calculation of the ratio of the total number of words and function words selected as identification markers, for which their calculation and transformation of their digital values are carried out in the compared texts. For the comparative analysis of the original texts and their translations, the most frequent function words are selected as formal identification markers of equivalence. Some of these words in the original Russian texts can also serve as ideostylistic markers, and it has been found that not all of them perform similar functions in the translated texts. The computational results are presented on Russian and English texts of different volumes, genres and styles, translated manually (by humans) and/or by machines. As a result, a part of the functional diagram of the device operation has been developed and presented, with the help of which such calculations can be done automatically.
Keywords:linguostatistics, occurrence rate, frequency and proportion of function words, original and translated texts, idiostyle indicators.
