Calculation of the thermal radiation in the modeling of the substance crystallization process in the foundry practice

Abstract: The paper is devoted to the mathematical modeling of the heat transfer by radiation from heated surfaces to the mold. The importance of this modeling process is that it has a significant impact on the cooling and crystallization of the metal in the foundry practice. The conditions in the setup, in which the casting of the products proceeded, were considered in the modeling process. Based on the model, an algorithm for calculating the flux of the thermal radiation was proposed. The basis of the algorithm is the final formulas, obtained by integrating the general relations which describe the propagation of the heat radiation.
