Application of two-dimensional packing algorithm in producing rectangular panels

Abstract: This article considers the application of two-dimensional packing algorithm in cutting rectangular panels with arbitrary dimensions from the standard rectangular panels with fixed dimensions (sandwich panels). The task is to determine the minimal number of sandwich panels needed to produce all required rectangular panels. We consider solving this problem using HBF algorithm with implementation on PHP programming language.
