Abstract:
This article is devoted to the study of radiation-induced changes occurring in corrosion-resistant steels under the influence of an electron beam with an energy of 10 MeV. The work analyzes changes in the microstructure of the material after irradiation.
The results showed that irradiation leads to the formation of microdefects in steel. These defects have a significant effect on the physical and mechanical properties of the material. It was determined that acoustic parameters such as the velocity of transverse waves and Rayleigh waves, as well as the values of the elastic moduli, are sensitive to the effect of fast electrons on the steel under study.
The data obtained are important for understanding the behavior of corrosion-resistant steels under radiation exposure, as well as for developing methods for protecting them from destruction.
