Abstract:
Recently, there has been an active interest in the world scientific literature in studying the effects of various thermal procedures on the human body. Most of the works are related to the study of various aspects of sauna, hamam and thermal cabins with infrared radiation emitters. At the same time, studies of Russian steam room modes are practically absent. This paper presents the first results of a detailed research of the influence of microclimate parameters in the Russian steam room on human thermal sensations. The work shows that thermal sensations in the steam room, and hence the value of heat flux, have a linear relationship with the value of the dew point temperature (DTP). It has been experimentally established that in the steam room the DST should be in the range from 40 to 50 $^\circ$C.
Keywords:Russian bathhouse, dew point temperature, thermal sensations.
