Optimisation of parallel calculations in heterogeneous environments

Abstract: The article studies the chronology of parallel computing tools, analyses the existing tools and methods, as well as the specifics of computer performance growth. On the basis of the latest developments in the field of parallel computing, in particular at the SYCL abstraction level, the application of optimal parallel computing tools for building applications in the field of computational and applied mathematics is examined. Both earlier and modern methods of computations are analysed, examples of both simple algorithms of computations and computations using mathematical libraries for computational linear algebra problems are presented.
