Abstract:
The work is dedicated to experimental and theoretical studies of thermodiffusion in three-component gas systems N$_2$ – Ar – CO$_2$ and Ne – Ar – CO$_2$. The measurements were carried out using a modified two-barrel apparatus at temperatures T$_1$ = 280 K and T$_2$ = 800 K, respectively, pressure P = 0.1 MPa and different mixture compositions. The obtained separation values and thermodiffusion constants were compared with the calculations by the previously proposed formula, allowing to determine the values of thermodiffusion characteristics of three-component systems through the parameters of binary gas mixtures. The comparison shows good agreement between experiment and calculation in the investigated range of thermodynamic parameters.
