Abstract:
We performed the molecular dynamics simulation of the braking process of charged particles moving in a dense ultra-cold magnetized electron gas. The case of the uniform magnetic field is considered. The motion of ions with a charge +e and –e is considered. The dependence of the braking efficiency on the sign of the charge, as well as on the angle between the ion velocity and the direction of the magnetic field, is investigated. Results of the simulation are compared with available theoretical models, as well as with the previously obtained results.
