Abstract:
The characteristic of an emulsion formation in a centrifugal extractor is presented in the paper. A computer model of a centrifugal extractor has been developed, which takes into account the formation of an emulsion layer. The main factors influencing the process of mass transfer in the emulsion layer are investigated. Emission quality criteria for the efficient extraction of valuable components from spent nuclear fuel have been determined. The effect of changing the rotational speed of the movable elements of a centrifugal extractor on the quality of the emulsion formed is studied.
