Modification of the fundamental Gibbs equation of classical thermodynamics on the basis discriminating information of Kullback–Leibler

A. V. Kolesnichenko

Abstract: The paper presents an information-thermodynamic approach to describing transitions between stationary states in which ordered spatial-temporal macroscopic formations (dissipative structures) arise in open dynamic systems under the influence of the external environment. The consequences of this approach are analyzed, in which the summary production of the macroscopic entropy of the system and the physical discriminating information of the Kullback–Leibler plays an important role. A fundamental equation of the thermodynamics of information physical processes in continuous environment is established, which makes it possible to quantify the boundaries of the displacement of stationary states of a system subject to the influence of external action and to find the corresponding stability criteria for such a system.

Keywords: processes of transition and self-organization, influence of environment on the system, fundamental Gibbs equation, discriminating information of Kullback–Leibler.
