On Stationary Motions of a String Suspended Rigid Body

Abstract: The basic results which are given here, were obtained during the last years in the investigation of stationary motions of a rigid body suspended to the motionless base on a string (or on a rod). The principals of the mechanical systems classification based on the number and properties of possible stationary regimes such as permanent rotations and regular precessions are also discussed. The stability of discovered stationary regimes is not considered.
