Atmosphere Optics Inverse Problem: Retrieval of the Atmospheric Compounds Using Spectral Measurements

Abstract: This paper discusses the method of atmospheric gases and aerosol content retrieval using spectral optical thickness measurements in the visible wave range. The proposed method of 'smooth' filtration makes possible to separate the contribution of gas and aerosol constituents to the optical thickness. To estimate the particles' size distribution characteristics parametrisation of extinction cross section is used.
