Abstract: The methodical and applied problems concerned the development of passive magnetic attitude control system for Swedish nanosatellite MUNIN are considered. ACS consists of strong permanent magnet and a set of hysteresis rods made under the special technological approach from soft magnetic material. It provides the satellite with orientation along the local vector of the Earth's magnetic field intensity with the given characteristics in steady-state motion and time-response. The dynamics is investigated by asymptotical and numerical methods under various models of hysteresis. The problems of rod installation and its interaction with the field of permanent magnet are discussed.
