Numerical implementation of far-field boundary conditions for transonic aerodynamical flow problems

E. I. Nazhestkina, I. L. Sofronov

Abstract: Numerical study of a method for imposing boundary conditions based on an exact treatment of the linearized Euler equations in the far field is given. A corresponding code is tested by using analytical solutions, considered on different computational domains. It is shown that a second order approximation algorithm provides high accuracy for real grids, and it is efficiently parallelized for the transputer system MBC-1000 by using both MPI and DVM instructions.
