Abstract: Multicriteria choice model, which includes a set of feasible alternatives, numerical vector criterion, and the decision maker’s preference relation, is considered. The main problem of multiple criteria choice is to select one or several Pareto optimal alternatives from the all Pareto set, in other words, to reduce this set. The different approaches to solve the Pareto set reducing problem this problem, which are based on generalized criterions, using “artificial” preference relations, interactive procedures, properties of the DM’s preference relations, are considered and analyzed in this paper.

Keywords: multicriteria choice, Pareto-optimal solutions, relative importance of criteria.
