Abstract:
Basic steps of solving a problem in electrodynamics may be represented as following: to formulate the problem with formalized fundamental terms (to construct up a physical model); to formulate the problem mathematically (to construct up a mathematical model); to formulate the problem with differential and integral equations; to define value boundary conditions for differential equations; to evaluate parameters of mathematical model and selection criteria for optimal solution; to solve electrodynamics problem with the assistance of analytical and numerical methods (possibly with mathematical software packets); to select analogues; verification of the solution; analysis of the solution. Thus the construction of a computer system to support the selection of models, methods and algorithms for solving mathematical physics problems, incl. electromagnetic, is of paramount importance.
