Development of an on-line optics knowledge base for E-learning system

Abstract: This paper describes development of an on-line optics knowledge base for E-learning system. Also some applications of ontology modeling for the next-generation e-learning system are presented. A method of knowledge base creation is proposed as well as the stages of knowledge engineering. Architecture of the knowledge base with ontology graphical visualization module for simple and intuitive content browsing is described.
