Abstract: Possible causes of magnetic oscillations with a low frequency of about 2% of the Brillouin zone, observed in high-temperature superconductors of the YBCO family, are studied. A scenario is proposed in which the observed frequency is proportional to the difference of the bilayer-split closed pockets in the Fermi surface rebuilt due to scattering to charge-density-wave vectors. A method is proposed for experimental determination of which of the four possible scenarios for the rise of these magnetic oscillations is realized in YBCO.

Keywords: magnetic oscillations, high-temperature superconductors, slow oscillations, Fermi surface.
