Abstract: Electron tunneling through a nonstationary magnetic tunnel junction has been studied in the approximation of a small-amplitude ac electric field. The effect of a giant change in the magnetoimpedance of a magnetic tunnel junction, which occurs at some frequencies of an ac bias voltage, has been predicted. The dependence of the effect of a giant change in the magnetoimpedance on the height and thickness of the magnetic tunnel junction and on the dc bias voltage has been studied.
