Abstract:
The optical transmission spectra of epitaxial Hg$_{1-x}$Cd$_x$Te films with a gradient of the band gap have been studied experimentally. The possibility of transforming the spectra after exposure of the samples to a homogeneous magnetic field has been demonstrated. This effect is possibly caused by the dependence of the magnetization of the Hg$_{1-x}$Cd$_x$Te films on the composition gradient of the solid solution.
