Abstract:
The heat capacity of the ferromagnetic shape memory effect alloy Ni$_2$MnGa in submicrocrystalline and amorphous-nanocrystalline states has been measured in the temperature range 2 K $\le T\le$ 310 K. Changes in the electron, magnetic, and lattice contributions to $C_P(T)$ as a result of megaplastic torsion deformation of samples under high pressure have been discussed.
