Abstract:
Glass-ceramic samples based on lithium heptagermanate Li$_2$Ge$_7$O$_{15}$ have been prepared by rapid quenching and subsequent heat treatment. The calorimetric measurements have revealed that Li$_2$Ge$_7$O$_{15}$ crystallizes from the glass phase in two stages. An intermediate state is characterized by a significant increase in the electrical conductivity of the glass-ceramic materials.
