Application of analytical and numerical methods to simulation of systems with orientation interactions

Abstract: The effect of temperature and intermolecular interaction constants on the short-range orientational order in two-dimensional films with a dipole-dipole potential has been investigated using the variational method and the Monte Carlo method. The parameters of the long-range order in three-dimensional systems with dipole-dipole and quadrupole potentials have been computed.
