Relationship between the magnetoresistance and the magnetocaloric effect in La$_{1-x}$Ag$_x$MnO$_3$ manganites

Abstract: A generalized expression relating the magnetoresistance of manganites La$_{1-x}$Ag$_x$MnO$_3$ with the change in the magnetic entropy has been proposed. The correct inclusion of the acting mechanisms of appearance of the magnetoresistance is shown to lead to adequate agreement between the experimental and calculated values of $\Delta S_{M}$.
