Abstract:
The absorption spectrum of a normally magnetized disk of yttrium iron garnet, which is associated with resonances of magnetostatic oscillation modes excited by a homogeneous high-frequency magnetic field, has been investigated using a numerical analysis of the micromagnetic model developed for ferromagnetic objects. The distribution of magnetization oscillation amplitudes over the disk surface area has been obtained for the first four modes. A good agreement between the results of the micromagnetic simulation and the data of analytical calculations for special cases has proved the reliability and efficiency of the proposed approach in numerical experiments on the study of the magnetization dynamics in objects with different geometries and shapes, including multilayer magnetic film structures.
