Abstract: The propagation of an ultrashort optical pulse in a multilayer structure formed by alternating graphene and boron nitride layers has been considered. Conduction electrons of this system have been described within the long-wavelength effective Hamiltonian in the case of low temperatures, and the electromagnetic field has been taken into account based on classical Maxwell’s equations. The dependence of the evolution on the velocity and maximum amplitude of the ultrashort pulse has been revealed.
