Formation of the front of longitudinal evolution of the magnetic moment of a ferromagnet under strong inhomogeneous excitation

Abstract: The longitudinal evolution of the initial magnetization wave front (formed, for example, due to the ultrafast demagnetization of a part of the ferromagnetic material by a femtosecond laser pulse) toward the wave front with a minimum velocity occurs through an intermediate fast wave front. This fast wave front can significantly increase the relaxation rate of the net magnetization in finite-size samples.
