Abstract:
The structural state of bulk cubic Zn$_{1-x}$$Me^{3d}_x$Te single crystals ($Me^{3d}$ are Jahn–Teller V and Ni ions with concentrations $x$ = 0.0002 and 0.003, respectively) has been studied by thermal neutron diffraction. It has been found that the neutron diffraction patterns of the crystals contain the previously unknown scattering effects due to static deformations of the basal lattice in a wide vicinity of the 3$d$ ions.
