Abstract:
The effect of electrical breakdown on the electrophysical properties of PVDF films was investigated. The electrical strength of the material was determined before and after polarization. The piezoelectric coefficient $d_{33}$ was measured using the quasi-static Berkelinecourt method. It was found that for unpolarized films after breakdown, the $d_{33}$ values were nonzero, indicating local polarization in the pre-breakdown region. Using piezo response force microscopy (PFM), the morphology of the film surface was studied after electrical breakdown. Vertical and lateral piezoelectric response distribution signals were obtained. The values of local piezoelectric coefficients $d_{33}$ were calculated in the vicinity and at a distance from the breakdown point.
