Abstract:
An equation for the displacement of atoms of the VO$_2$ crystal lattice in the light field has been derived. The solution of this equation in the case of an ultrashort laser pulse has been found. It has been shown that coherent vibrations of the crystal lattice are excited in the system with the frequency and amplitude depending on the surface energy density of the laser pulse and on the time. A comparison with the experimental data on laser irradiation of vanadium dioxide has been performed.
