Abstract: An analytical approach to the description of end effects on the state switching kinetics of quasi-one-dimensional systems has been developed. The approach is based on the Kolmogorov theory of stochastic nucleation and coalescence of new phase domains, which is proposed for the description of the statistical crystallization process. As applied to magnetic systems, the method allows calculations of magnetization curves and hysteretic phenomena as functions of the temperature and material parameters.
