Abstract: We prove that every locally bounded homomorphism of a connected Lie group $G$ whose commutator subgroup $G'$ admits a closed supplementary subgroup $Z$ such that $G=G'Z$ into a Lie group is continuous if and only if it is continuous on $Z$.
