Abstract:
The combustion of the dihydrazinate-perchlorate of lithium and the monohydrazinate-perchlorate of sodium has been studied at 0.1–7 MPa. It was found that the oxidation of the combustible part of the complexes was incomplete. There was a clear relation between the rate of combustion and the surface temperature of the charge. The rate of combustion was determined by the oxidation of the hydrazine in the surface layer (molten) of the condensed phase. The activation energy of the combustion–controlling stage was determined.
