Abstract:
A theoretical model is developed for combustion and gasification of porous cokes in a mixture of reaction gases (carbon diode, steam, hydrogen, oxygen). Processes of thermal and mass transfer are considered as are also the chemical reaction of substances in the gaseous phase and the kinetics of heterogeneous reactions inside the porous structure of the coke. The model makes it possible to determine the rate as well as the composition of the coke combustion and gasification products.
