Abstract: The main combustion-wave parameters were found experimentally for ballistite propellants with HMX (cyclotetramethylenetetranitramine) additives at pressures of 20, 50, and 100 atm. HMX additives were shown to decrease the burning rate, the burning-surface temperature, heat release in the condensed-phase reaction layer, and the heat release rate in the gas near the burning surface. It is shown that these additives increase the rate of high-temperature gas reactions, which leads to contraction of the gas-phase reaction zone. It is found that the first three unified laws for combustion zone parameters, which were obtained previously for ordinary ballistite propellants (nitrocellulose-nitroglycerin), are valid for HMX-containing ballistite compositions. These are the gasification law, which relates the burning rate to the temperature of the burning surface, the law of heat release in the condensed phase ($c$-phase), which relates relative heat release in the $c$-phase to the parameter $p/m^{1/2}$, and the law of heat removal from the gas. The validity of the unified laws forHMX-containing ballistite compositions shows that the ballistite components control burning of these propellants.
