The number of radial cracks in polymethylmethacrylate in explosion of a borehole charge

Abstract: The data available on the number of main radial cracks formed in a solid coarsely fracturing medium (PMMA) upon weak and strong explosion of borehole charges are generalized. A dependence of the number of radial cracks on the loading rate of the borehole walls is obtained.
